ACRYLIC CLEAR Pb LEAD GLASS

CLEAR-Pb is made from an acrylic copolymer resin into which lead is chemically introduced as an organo-lead salt compound.  CLEAR-Pb contains 30% lead by weight.  Its physical properties are similar to those of conventional acrylic resins, and routine acrylic fabrication techniques (thermoforming, machining and cementing) can be applied.  Single sheets can be provided in any size up to a maximum of 72” x 96”.  Larger sizes are fabricated by factory-bonding the edges of two sheets.

CLEAR-Pb has the advantage of high resistance to shattering, contributing to its ease of handling and use in large panels.  Please call for in stock sizes.

CONVENTIONAL LEAD GLASS

It is essential that the X-Ray protective glass used in x-ray protection rooms offer sufficient protection.  Aaccurate Radiation lead glass is used in x-ray rooms as windows through which the operator may observe his patient while himself being adequately protected from the x-ray emissions.

Aaccurate Radiation glass is a lead-barium type glass with more than 60% heavy metal oxide including at least 55% lead oxide.  Both glass surfaces are mirror-polished.  This special quality glass is well-established in the medical, scientific, as well as nuclear fields around the world.  Manufactured by a continuous automatic process, this glass is able to maintain a rigidly controlled steady level of physical properties.
